Born out of lockdown

In early 2020, two brothers accidentally stumbled into the world of brewing & the story is still unfolding.

2020

We took over the brewery in early 2020, learning how to brew traditional style cask ales, but we were excited to explore new styles of beer.

We started experimenting on our Ss Brewtech kit & brewed our first experimental keg beers. Our first Hang Glider brew went down a storm, & it’s still a fan favourite today! It was during this time we were plunged into lockdown. Over the next year, we worked hard to keep the brewery going, learning how to brew new beers.

2021-2022

We turned our attention to a derelict barn situated less than 10 meters from our brewhouse. This 200 year old Cotswold stone barn needed a lot of work, but it was easy to see the potential- a place onsite, where people could interact with our brewery and try our latest releases on tap; so the idea of the Flying Monk Café/Tap was born. We officially opened our doors in May 2021, and haven’t looked back since.

CAFE/TAP

2023 & beyond...

Since opening, the Café/Tap has grown into an amazing community space, instead of sending beer up and down the country, people can enjoy our beer, only a few meters away from where it's made.
