These last few months have been very exciting for us – perfecting what we do best – to ensure we can present a wider range of beer-styles ready for this year. And we can now say: We’ve done it!
So, let’s start the year as we mean to go on. February will see the release of 3 new beers focused on expanding and challenging our craft.
Firstly, Hang Glider. A West Coast Pale (4.3 per cent) that we have been able to trial at a couple of events over the last few months, receiving awesome feedback! A hop-forward IPA-style beer that is bursting with citrus and pine aroma. Sitting on a subtle malt base, this pale ale is super refreshing, vegan and full of hop character. For now this will only be available in 330ml cans – which we can now post nationally.
Secondly (and kind of a big deal), we now brew Lager; more specifically, Sirin – a Premium Lager (4.6 per cent). This is a Czech-style, elegant Pilsner that uses noble hops for a traditional flavour profile. Clean, crisp and vegan, after the cold-conditioning is complete, we then package this on-site into 330ml cans (also posting nationally!). Being released later in the month.
Finally, the release of a Hoppy Pale Ale. High-Flyer (4.0 per cent), will be a cask release, which means one thing for those looking to get the most out of local delivery – 5L mini kegs! Packed with punchy hop character, this refreshing ale has a complex malt base and a bitterness that hits the spot. This will be a seasonal beer, running until at least May.
And how could we forget? There is one more announcement… We suppose we should address the elephant on the website – the Cafe & Tap (and brewery shop). The rumours are true. So, as soon as my brother and I have a date to open, we will be announcing this on our website and across our social media. This has been an on-going side project since we got the brewhouse up and running again in 2020, and we are very excited to be opening our doors this year.
And of course, thank you for supporting us. We are so excited to get new beers on the go, as well as hopefully have everything in place to start welcoming people on-site as soon as we are ready to do so.
Flying Monk.
